Guest has shortened stay - can I claim compensation?

Hi there,

 

My guest booked my flat for 10days and now he has decided to stay only 3. I have accepted his change of dates request but I would like to know if I can claim a compensation as he's cancelling after check in. My cancelling policicy is moderate. If I'm entitle to a compensation from him, how can I claim it? Sorry I'm a bit confussed as how to do it.

@Lorena97, if you accepted a change, it was not a cancellation and you get nothing. In such cases, you can refuse the proposed change and tell them to cancel. In that case, they get whatever the policy allows. Ot you can send a change to them with a three days stay at an higher price, whatever price you negotiate before both sides accept.
