Hi @Cathy16,

I am really sorry to hear about the loss of your brother.  Hosts can cancel due to "extenuating circumstances" but you would have needed to contact Airbnb and have them cancel it for you.  I would think if you reached out to them, they would fix this for you as one of the extenuating circumstances is a death in the family.
