Hi Mel, we need more accountbility from Airbnb guests especially the large groups that many abuse and take for granted their "paid rental and fees" and treat the Host like F U after they are done with you! Some GUESTS hide damages and say it was already like that ???

or the odd oops! we are expected to suck it up under "wear and tear" cause the Airbnb rep said so !!!

No worries mate you ain't collecting nada! As a Host You are allowed to advise and request on-site in-person deposits, from the guests prior to entry a $500. max. refundable security deposit (pre-authorized slip and signed)* No big deal right? and any added guest services the guests may require Wifi  fresh bedding and linen, Parking for 6 cars as stated in your house rules or the pre booking that nobody reads,  then guests flack you about it and cancels You, then Airbnb says you the HOST CANCELLED and they allow that guests to review a negitive or bad review.  Then AIrbnb rep./ case manager... whatever they are called?  Send you a quick No reply threat message  SUSPEND WARNING and helps deny you SuperHost status,  Always protecting their pay-outs for their MILLION Dollar protection plan hoax, a Joke right?... they tell you what you can't charge for, and to be included in your posted rates like the good little Host that you are! As a Host making 6 figure bookings for Airbnb, how about the taxes required that nobody charges, until taxman shows up at your door!   Then try to talk to a rep about anything in your defence...good luck! Bottom line... protect your property, if you don't like their policies quit !
