Messages to hosts not being sent

I am looking for accommodation in Buenos Aires.  I narrowed down my search and sent messages to 3 or 4 hosts.  When I went back into the app, I couldn't see the messsges, so I resent them.  When you send a message, there is no option to 'send' it just says 'save' which seems odd.  I still can't see the messages I sent and I assume they haven't gone as I have not had any replies which is annoying as it wasted a lot of time ut ultimately, I don't see how I can book, if I cannot get I. Touch with the host and get the information i need.  Any help greatly appreciated.
