@Bwoye0, I'd recommend you verify your new payment method and check if the few cents of test payment really arrive. If your guest arrives immediately and you do not have the time to verify the card, contact the customer service.
Generaly, you need an active payment method the moment the payment is made, which is about a day after check-in. But if you have a wrong account and payment is sent to someone else or sent to a not existing account, you will have a lot of problems to get your payment. If it's too close, it would be better that airbnb holds the payout till you sorted it out. You need to call them for that.
