Can anyone please advise if this is correct - the following message received from my bank: Kindly send us an instruction to process the below payment urgently as it is falling past due....

I have never had this before. all payouts were automatically done without the bank requesting an "instruction" ??

Is the payment one you recognise and usually pay?

 

The only way to deal with this is to contact your bank. Do it by phone on the number you already have for them. If the message is an email don't reply to it or click any links in it in case it's a scam.

 

I would suspect that it's a scam as

you seem not to have expected the message

they use a method often used by scammers when they say it's urgent

they're asking you to authorise a payment which you haven't said here is a normal payment

 

It could be legitimate but one way to find out is to phone your bank.
