That is not the way Airbnb works, @Kelly172. Do not send that bank any money.

Oh Lawrene, thank you. I used airbnb last summer and it was great. I've been finding a lot of suspect rentals for London. It's very discouraging. So glad I checked.

Apparently London is a bit of a hotbed for that right now, @Kelly172. But there are loads of lovely legitimate hosts there. Keep everything on the Airbnb platform. Any offer that involves emailing outside of the system is a bad one. 

You obviously had an idea this one was off, since you brought it to the community help forum. Just continue in the same way - keeping your wits about you. Safe travels!

Also, @Kelly172, if that listing still exists, flag it so that Airbnb can take it down. There is a little flag under the Request to Book section that says "Report this listing". Click that and follow the prompts.
