Having trouble booking a guest

A potential guest sent me a reservation request for several months (he's traveling for work). We decided together that it would be easier for us both to just book week by week. He attempted to change his reservation request or make another one, and that wouldn't work, so I then declined the request he sent, hoping that would open up his ability to request the reservation.  That didn't work either, the listing continues to say that the home is not available.  Is it because I declined his initial request?  I ended up getting on the computer and sending him a special offer.  Will he be able to accept that? Is there a way to Un-decline (?) a reservation request?  I'm not finding much in the way of tech support on this website.
