Guests send an enquiry and does not respond to my questions after.

Hello fellow hosts,

 

I've just listed my place last week and really excited to welcoming my 2nd guests this weekend. 

Soon after, a third enquiry (a couple) came in for a 8 night stay, he said he's flying in today and has not responded to my questions, he has given me his email and contact numbers which are hidden as there isn't a confimed reservation. He had literally just created an account with only email verified and a profile picture.

 

Here comes the question, I've pre-approved after a few hours and withdrawn it after. Will my response rate be affected because my dashboard shows "no new inquiries or requests".

No it won't.

 

As a new host you get a temporary boost when you first list - after a few weeks/months this will disappear.

Thanks Helen. Did not know about the boost, still plenty to learn.
