Charged double for one reservation

Hi, 

i booked an apartment in Lyon France and was charged €1775 for the booking. 

When I booked the site went down and said there were some problems. 

But i was charged anyway for the booking but the apartment was still not reserved and open for anyone to take. 

The owner said to book again, so now Airbnb have charged  me twice but I only have one booking. 

I live in Finland where there is no Airbnb number and the booking is in France where that don't speak English to understand this situation. 

What should I do? It's a LOT of money they have taken twice.

You can try calling the US number or you can try tweeting them on Twitter?

Thanks, just tried tweeting them, let's see. Maybe next I'll try Skype calling the US number.

If you paid by credit card just call your card company and get them to handle it - much easier than you chasing Airbnb
