Can I do Airbnb as an international student in America?

I am an international student in Lakeland, Florida, USA. I am over 30 years old and I am not allowed to work with my study visa.

Could I buy a house or rent a house and do airbnb? If so, how much tax do I have to pay?

You could as a passive investment, you own the property but other people do the day to day work, maintenance, cleaning etc.
