Can someone please tell me if the price advertised is per person per night, or for the room per night?  I can't seem to figure it out.

The price is per night for the room.

If you go to your own listing by clicking on "Host", "Manage listing" and then "Preview" you'll see "Extra people: No Charge" in the "Prices" section.

Your private room can accommodate two guests so if you want to charge a little extra when there are two guests you can add an extra person charge.

Do this by going to your calendar and clicking on "Pricing settings", then on "Extra charges and currency" and then on "Additional guests". Then enter an amount and leave the "For each guest after" box with "1" in it.
