@Camille212 Hi, not sure exactly what the circumstances are, you say it is a "request" do you mean you haven't already accepted it OR is an " accepted confirmed reservation" – there is a huge difference.

1. If it is an accepted confirmed booking: You can press cancel but there is a penalty and a fine of $100 or so and the dates will be automatically cancelled and not open for anyone else and your listing may go down in search engines or even be dissappeared for a while.
2. If it is Instant Book call Airbnb, explain and get them to cancel for you.
3. If the guest has asked you to cancel for them do not do it you will be penalized.
And do not click yes to an email you may get from Airbnb asking if you want to cancel - same penalties apply.
Ask the guest to cancel and if they won't make sure you have their request to cancel in your messages and Call Airbnb.
4. If it is a "request" aka "inquiry" you can just go ahead and block the dates because it is not a confirmed booking. And send a message to the guest within 24 hours to say it is no longer available.
TO BLOCK DATES - go to calendar, click on dates yu want to block - click on block dates seen to the right of the screen on a computer, not sure about app. Click Save. Double check calendar it should be greyed out if successfully blocked.
