Unavailable dates after cancellation

Hi,

 

I am a new host, I just posted my first listing.

Automatically, my listing was available for instant booking.  Since I don't have much experience with Airbnb, I wasn't aware what that is. And one of the guests booked (and paid) my place, without contacting me first.

 

Unfortunately, I had to cancel his booking (with the explanation to the guest). 

But now, my place is unavailable for those dates I cancelled.

Is there a way to make those dates available again?

Hi Jovan, simple answer is NO! You have been penalised by Airbnb for cancelling a reservation. The only reason you can cancel a reservation on Instant Booking is if you have any concerns about the guest; see policy via link  - https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/990/how-do-host-cancellation-penalties-work

If you are unable to deactivate, then it would appear that unfortunately you are among the small group of new hosts who have compulsory IB. Airbnb are experiment with the notion of compulsory IB and have chosen at random some new host for the experiment. If you are one of them, you will not be able to turn of IB.

 

I would suggest you familiarise yourself with some of the policies and guideline to prepare you for hosting; click on the Help option(top right, round sectioned circle) and then Help Centre where you will find the most common policies. You can try to contact Airbnb on this occasion and plead new host to see if they will consider waving your penalties. If they don't then those dates will remain blocked.
