One guest making multiple reservations.

I had a gentleman want to make multiple reservations for apprx 4 days each week for 17 weeks. Is that possible?

yes, it's possible, they just make as many reservations as they need. They will all be separate events

Yes I am aware that they can book separate. But there is a credit card usage charge everytime. I think it needs to be added that it is multiple bookings with only one payment.

that charge is a percentage, so whether it is once or multiple it should work out the same

There was a posting about this type of setup from another host.

The issue they were asking about: the guest was not writing any reviews of their stays (since it was the same experience week after week), and the lack of reviews was affecting the host's review rate.

You might want to discuss the topic briefly with your guest, and say it would be fine (and much appreciated) if the guest would just write a short review, like "Another great week!" every week.
