refund

Hi

A guest cancelled shortly after booking

I followed the 'offer refund' link to refund her most of her cost

I then got a message from Airbnb telling me that the amount I have offered will be taken from my next pay out

what does it mean? I hope it doesnt mean they will pay her from money I earn from taking on other guests cause it sure reads like it

Elle, when the guest books &pays through Airbnb,they do not pay into your account ,until the guest has slept at your place,for a night. So I presume , the money is held ,in a pending account ,until such time ,so the money they are taking, has not yet been paid into your account.This has happened to me & it has always worked out okay -keep calm -it will all be sweet .     Beryl.

That is exactly what that email means.  When the guest cancels, Airbnb is responsible for refunding her according to your refund policy less her booking fees.  If you would like to refund her MORE than Airbnb has already refunded her, it will be out of your own pocket (aka from your future payout).
