Security deposit

Origianlly I had my depost set at $500.  I recently changed it to $125.  Someone booked right when I changed it and it booked him at $500 but I had already told him I was changing it to $125.  How do I refund him the difference now?

Hi Linda, Airbnb allows you to set a security deposit in the event that there are damages or missing items on your property and guests will not be charged with it not until you submitted a claim. Therefore, Airbnb didn't really collected that amount to your guest😊

you need not need to refund the differences as security deposit is only being "blocked" but not "paid" unless host submit a claim against them within 48 hours upon check out.
