San Francisco Short-Term Residential Certificate Number

I just recived my Short-Term Residential Number from the city of San Francisco, and I don't know where on the site to enter/display this number.

Anybody have an idea and how to communicate this # to the City Tax Collector?

Thank you.

@Nicholas2 reading the Help section on occupancy taxes (links below) it looks like Airbnb is collecting taxes on your behalf and there is nothing for you to do, but, that said, I'm not an expert in this area.  I have a business license from the County of San Luis Obispo and I report/pay the taxes on a monthly basis since Airbnb doesn't collect it for me.  You might double check with Airbnb to see if there is anything you need to do.

I get asked this a lot.  It is under LOCATION when editing your profile (under MANAGE LISTING - left side is LOCATION).  Also be sure to add in your language in the description area etc.

Good luck!

Thanks @Lawrence1! This is something only a San Franciscan would know.  Will bookmark for future reference!

I just checked the "Location" section, and there's no field in that (or any other) section for entering STR permit #. Any ideas?

I have discovered, via calling Airbnb's customer service number (and much trial and error) that San Francisco Short-Term Rental Registration Certificate numbers now get entered as text in the "Detailed description" field, under "Other things to note". It appears you must type in both the certificate number and the disclaimer that comes with the certificate at the beginning of this section, before emailing your page URL to the city.

Is everyone sending the URL to the city? Woudnt they discovered if we were renting before registering and receiving the Short Term Rental Certificate number? And wouldn't renting it before get us in trouble?
