Reply time issue...

Hi.

I have noticed that Airbnb have penalised (maybe a bit strong...) me for not replying to a potential guest in the allocated time frame. That has brought my 'reply time' rating to 50% and a bit of a ticking off from them.

Thing is...I DID reply to the enquiry! Things were very amicable and although I couldn't take the booking, there was no issues at all.

Is there any way to rectify this or should I just not worry...*sigh*

I think you may not understand what is meant by response @Debs4.  The automated system does not recognize the conversation you have with a traveler.  It recognizes whether you have pre-approved or declined the booking inquiry.  If it is not a booking inquiry, that is not attatched to specific dates on your calendar, and only an inquiry without dates then response rate is not affected.  I made this mistake once early in my hosting and over the year the effect has gone away.

 

I think the only effect of the response rate is on Super Host qualification.
