Preferred Name

Like a fair number of people, I go by a name that isn't my legal first name. I happen to go by my last name, which is even more confusing. I would love to see Airbnb have an easy way that hosts and guests can put in a preferred name, so that it adds to the sense of connection. I hate having to correct guests with my preferred name, or to let them use a name I reserve for telemarketers. I'm certain that others with nicknames or other preferences would appreciate this as well. We should be relating beyond our legal names. Thanks!

Ok I agree this is an issue at the first place which should be cleared out. I subscribed to airbnb recently and also wandering what name sould I use.

My idea was since you want to be trusted you should use real name, but am really wondering if others do so thats why a clear policy on this issue would be useful.

By the way Alanna sounds really good not like mine 🙂
