I was charged 600 plus to my credit card for a 444$ airbnb. I do not understand why

Was it $444 USD being charged to your Canadian card, @Zoé21? Or was it $444 base price plus Airbnb service fee plus maybe a cleaning fee? 

First thing to check, if it was USD, is to see whether your currency preference has changed. That is in the Edit Profile section. Make sure it is Canadian dollar.

Hello @Zoé21 ,

When you made the reservation, your booking showed the amount to pay. It consist of the renting price, the cleaning fee (if any) , the Airbnb Guest Service fee and taxes (if any).

So this total amount should be deducted from your credit card. Did you check your reservation itinerary for right amount ?
