If I cancel a booking, can I still receive new bookings for that period?

I just canceled a booking (very legitimate reason - guest increased group size after booking). Is that period now available for somebody else to book, or is it blocked out?

@Stephen38, unfortunately, it's blocked out. There are also other penalties. Always best for a host not to cancel. Contact AirBnB first, or have the guest cancel if that's an option. 

Meanwhile, you could contact AirBnB and explain the situation. Perhaps they will waiver the penalty and unblock the days.
