Does instant booking activate an algorithm which increases your search ratings?

Instant Booking affects the search if travelers select IB for the search, @Claire333.  Many travelers, especially those who are new to Air BNB, opt for IB.

In areas with a lot of competition it is as @Linda108 says a help to be further up in the search.

Also, a lot of travelers prefer IB,. Unfortunately so do crooks, so you'll really have to water-proof your House Rules.

Additionally know that many a host has reported they seemed to notice that using the setting for more security blocks (ID verification and positive reviews) will still apparently get you less visibility than going full risk by not having any IB conditions in place.
