I am booked, arriving tomorrow, but the host is making me uncomfortable!

I am booked and paid for one night tomorrow night but the host "accidentally" sent me a request for an extra £178 of payment. Turns out it was a mistake and it was for another guest with my same name! But I found her note about the extra charges just crazy and so I'm worries she will try to rip me off too! She has a strict cancellation policy - is there any way I can cancel and request a refund due to her actions making me uncomfortable?

Was the other Caroline asking for extras, though, @Caroline804? You can definitely say no to any extra charges (if you are not demanding extra things), and still stay. The host must abide by the policies in place at booking. I didn't see how crazy the note was, though, and you did. If you really want out, give Airbnb a call and point them to the message. They may help rehouse you with no penalty.
