There hasn't been any change to the review system. I can still see guest reviews.

Could it be that your current pending requests are from guests who are new to Airbnb?

If yours is the first booking request they have made, or their previous hosts didn't review them, then they won't have any reviews.

Many of my guests have been new with no reviews.

I judge by their communication. I check if they say who, how many and why they're visiting Limerick.

If they answer any questions I have within a reasonable time that also helps me to decide.

You can always ask them if this the first time that they've booked.
