Failed email verification

I set up a new account and am trying to complete the verification process. It says it's sending the verification mail to my email account but nothing appears.  YES, I've done the trouble shooting; checked spam folder, checked notification settings, waiting for hours, clicked on resend email atleast 5 times....and nothing.  The email is a valid address and I did get a welcome to airbnb when I registered - and was able to click on "start discovering now".....so I kow it's working but for some reason I'm stuck on verifying my account on the last step for this email process.

 

Any ideas?
