Commitment rate

Hello,

A few weeks ago, I had a collegue of mine requesting to stay for 2 weeks.

I recommended he still book through AirBnB. So I sent him a special price. Normally when I do that, I am asked if I want to block those dates. For some reason, I wasn't offered that option.

A few minutes after I adjusted the price for him, someone booked a few dates inbetween by lighting booking.

I had no option but to cancel that lighting booking since I had someone commited to stay longer. After I cancelled, it dropped my commitment rate, which can now effect my Superhost status.

Is there anyway to get that strike off? How should I have handled it?

Hope someone can offer good advice.

Thank you and regards

@Muneeb0 Always get AirBnB to cancel for you - speak to them and explain the situation and hope they will show some mercy
