Booking

I was under the impression that guests had to contact the host prior to booking but I have had 2 people book automatically.  I researched Instant Book and from what I can tell it is not on.  How do I change this feature or can I?  I would like to be able to make contact with a guest prior to them booking/confirming the date.  In previous situations, I have had pre-approvals first then I chose whether or not to accept.

Instant booking is still ON go to booking settings and edit "How guests can book" to switch it off.

@Spirit-And-Ann0 I understand you think Instant Book is off.

But the fact that two people just made Instant Bookings with you leads me to believe it is on.

Plus, when I go to you listing, I can still make an Instant Booking.

No one is saying you turned Instant Booking on.

But it is on.

To turn it off (and be aware: some hosts cannot turn off Instant Book),

1. Edit your listing.
2. Go to the "Booking settings" tab.
3. In the "Booking settings" tab, the first section should be "How guests can book"
4. Push the "Edit" button for the "How guests can book" section
5. Choose "All guests must send a reservation request"
6. Press the "Save" button.
