Account security problem - account linked to an unknown app called Lithium

Hi

This is a warning to all hosts and AirBnB on security.

Very accidentally noticed today, that there is an app called Lithium linked to our account. I deleted instantly, but no way to verify whether it's still active. We never heard of such an app, none of us ever used it, neither had we got any contact from airbnb to put such an app. under our account.

This demands AirBnB to

1. show all the current connected devices and apps under owners panel

2. keep log-in record for at least for owners' review

3. Set up secure log-in system like text or call verification

This is unbelievable!

The image, or logo if you will, was a brown rectangular background, with a black human being head and shoulder sillouette in the middle, just like a passport photo but in total black.

Hello @Tim100,

Yes this Lithium app should be better signalled by Airbnb. They should at least put an explanation beside the entry to say why it's there.

It allows use of this community forum. After deleting it and then using this forum you'll find that it's there again.

Another one you may see there is SchoolKeep. This shows if you've watched any of Airbnb's information videos.

Yes' it's true that they don't have text or call verification at each login.

They do haave the following things you can do to help secure your account.

Click on your profile photo and then select "Account settings" and "notifications". Under "Push notifications" you should see a box to tick if you want notifications  about account activity.

If you click on "Account settings" and then "Security" you'll see a box to click if you want notifications when someone logs in to your account from a different machine or browser.

That page also shows current logins and log in history.

Hi

Thank you for your reply, I now know it's from AirBnB. And yes, if only we are told in someway.

Our account behaves really interesting from last October, guests inquire, then we reply, then they disappear so completely from us, not even respond a word as a manner. This happened again and again, especially some big long term bookings. This situation lasts until now. Also, we don't see our property in the search result (not on our own browser), even under the instant booking list while we did enable it for our account. Something is just not right for our account.
