The posting shows additional Tax

https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/37720797?check_in=2024-05-13&check_out=2024-05-15&adults=5&children=0...

The posting shows the owner will separately take 14.75% tax aside from the total payment of my stay. Is this right and a normal thing?

Hello @Niket22

If you're asking if it's normal for a listing to show Airbnb fees that guests pay then yes it is but this amount does not go to the host but to Airbnb.  It covers the insurance you receive by booking through the platform and other fees.

The host also has an Airbnb charge on their end but the only one that guests see is the one that appears on the their reservation along with any other taxes making up the total cost of the stay.

Hope this is what you were asking about,

Joëlle
