Many things are being talked about security cameras in view of change in policy by AirBnB for removal of the same as it being breach in privacy of the guests. It is to be understood by the AirBnB that privacy issue comes when cameras are fitted in the guest reserved / rented area like bedroom or bathroom but not the shared space with the landlord. On the other hand cameras sometime help in sharing information / instructions with the guests when the written down are not understood by them. They are a mode of conversation in some cases. I too vouch that cameras should not be installed in bedrooms or bathrooms. Do the AirBnb officials when anytime staying in hotel raise objection or get them removed from hotel premises with the same analogy? Hotels too have them in place for security reasons. In todays context cameras have become a necessary security tool then why object? The change in policy needs to be looked into seriously by AirBnB
