Incompetent Airbnb Support

I have been following up on the issue of a payout for reservation**[Sensitive information removed in line with - Community Center Guidelines]** and it has to be said that the only way to describe the handling by Airbnb Support is simply incompetent.

Several times in conversations with them they have made claims of plain falsehoods, belied by their own Airbnb Support communications at the time of the reservation.

This is a support thread that has been going around in circles for over 3 months with no proper resolution and Support has simply repeatedly resorted to quietly closing the support thread, only for me to just reopen a new one.

I do not wish to make adverse or negative remarks of anyone but I am so sorry but there are no other words to describe truthfully what has taken place -- it is just clearly incompetent handling of the most basic kind. Simple facts are wrong in the Support responses, and Support making claims absent factual basis.

This is just plain disappointing.
