Have bookings slowed down?

I wanted to see if anyone else was having a slowdown in bookings. And if so, what are you doing to fix it?

@Chad435 Airbnb hosts are experiencing a slowdown in bookings in 2024. But you may consider the following that may help increase bookings. 

 

-High-quality images with inviting descriptions are crucial. Ensure they accurately represent your amenities, location, and nearby events. Good lighting is essential to highlight your property's features.

-Price your property appropriately, considering what similar properties in your area are charging. Utilize dynamic pricing tools for data-driven pricing adjustments. Make sure your calendar is unblocked and review your base and minimum prices.

-Prompt and professional communication with potential guests is important. Provide support and information about local attractions during their stay.

-Consider removing advance notice requirements to accommodate last-minute bookings, which have become more common.

If your occupancy is low, consider reducing rates incrementally until you find the right balance. Adjust your pricing strategy for weekdays and weekends, possibly offering discounts for longer weekday stays​.

-Align your prices with similar properties in your area, but also highlight the unique features and amenities of your property​. Each property and market is unique, so it's important to tailor these strategies to your specific situation. Here in the UK alongside Northern Europe we have had months of rain. Maybe this is the reason that we have no enquiries or bookings. 

We like to travel ourselves with our friends but frankly it was cheaper to get a flight to Portugal and stay in wonderful warm weather for the same money.

Has anyone else noted a decline?

I have been a host long before Airbnb appeared on the scene and its never ever been like this.

We are Superhosts and Airbnb is/was the best thing ever for people looking for holiday cottages.
