Taking bookings

Can someone please explain why on Air bnb you cant say how many guests are booking and how many rooms you want like you can through most b&b and hotel sites.  It is a real pain to have to make several listings when you have more than one room to let?

Everything about Air bnb is really positve and innovative but this is a real down side to using this site to take bookings.

A guest does specify how many people will be staying.

Hotels have usually mutiple rooms of one type, generally AirBnB hosts do not.

The B&B sites I have seen list their rooms individually. In the US B&B's tends to be much more upmarket than in the UK.

There a number of postings on here from people highlighting this as an issue, 2 people, 2 rooms!

Every booking I've made in the UK non Air bnb has given me the option to book direct for 2 people in seperate rooms, the only way to do this with Air bnb is to list your property several times which seems crazy

I have 3 rooms and 3 listings, but the rooms are different and so are the prices.
