how long does a guest have to respond to a damage request for funds

And what happens if they don't respond? Does airbnb collect the requested funds automatically?

@Nicole-and-Herve0 if the guest doesn't respond, airbnb will be the mediator, review the claim, and decide whether there will be a refund or not.

You need to make the claim in the Resolution Center.

My last guest broke the door off the hinges in my laundry room.  I cannot request money to collect against the security deposit because there's already an open claim with this guest.  In my area Air bnb doesn't collect the taxes so I have to request them through the resolution center.  This guest hasn't responded to that claim for the taxes so I can't send a claim for the damages.  How do I go about resolving this?
