Thinking about buying in NYC and hosting, what do i need to know

So i want to move to the city....im there every weekend, i enjoy it better than where i am

Im not sure if i want to work there and just rent a place there or keep my current job and house in Central NJ , buy in manhattan and use airbnb for the times im not going to/or dont want to be there

I know about the law they are trying to push to disclose names but where can i find more information on if this would be a good idea or not?

I know the HOA's are 1500+ in most of these places which is insane and i should probably be a real estate agent this information but i figured id start here first...

Have you check out how the STR legislation affects New York?

I can't think you have, or you would know that if you want to let out your place in New York on a STR the minimum stay is 30 days, if you don't share the premises, which would be your situation.

You may be better getting a long term flat mate, if you need income to support you living there.

Take a look at this link that summarizes the current regulations
