Booking settings for long stays - cleaning and variable numbers of guests

Could AirBnb please add 2 features to the booking system:

1. For long stays the property needs extra cleans. Can we please be able to set the booking so that the guest is charged a cleaning fee weekly or fortnightly for long stays?

2. Some guests (usually corporate) have the number of guests change throughout the stay. Can the booking page please state the guests should book for the maximum number of guests that will be using the property during the stay or make separate bookings. Some guests book for the minimum and then want to only pay for when the extra guests are staying. The cleaning costs are still the same and it can get very complicated with different people coming and going.

@Matthew537. Just a thought but could you set the length of a stay for 7 days or the like but suggest to them that they rebook for the additional days? Then they would have to pay the extra cleaning fee, also giving you a reason to check on the property while cleaning. But they probably wouldn't like that as a this point they can work the system and pay less. 😕

Hi Beth. No sadly it doesn’t work as my place would then not appear for people searching for greater than 7 days :(.

It wouldn’t be difficult though for the AirBnb IT bods to add the facility to optionally charge for a clean every x number of days.
