zoning for AirBnB Okaloosa County Florida

I reside in Okaloosa County Florida not within any city limits. I  was wondering if any of my AirBnB host neighbors have encountered locals questioning if we are allowed to operate in a residential zoned area? I have tried to look into County regulations and I have found out that AirBnB pays the county a bed tax on our behalf, so I feel like the county is acknowledging our existence and has not made any ruling about zoning. Does anyone out there have any concrete answers about this??

hello @Roxanne87  from across the other side of the world, Welcome to CC.

Have you used relevant keywords in the search box here in CC?

There's much helpful info tucked away that should help answer your question.

Alternatively there should be info under your local Authority website, together with if you look up ABB under 'news" for your local area on the wider internet.

Do bear in mind there's always 'Grey areas of laws' that we little folk should challenge the legalities of as all courses of action are by law have appeal processes to test the validity of points of laws.

All the best
