"Pending Verification" is confusing my guests and me, can you help? :)

I'm very new to Airbnb and my bookings seem to be going well but then..! Disaster has struck, I have a couple wanting to come stay with me on Wednesday who I have pre-approved but now they're saying they're having trouble booking because Airbnb is asking them to verify their ID. On their profile it says their ID *is* verified so I'm mega confused and don't know how to help them. Has anyone had this problem before and so could advise me please?

They're flying out from China tonight so we could do with getting some super quick advice if possible

Hi as far as I know, they have to provide 2-3 ID's and the site itself has to verify these, which can take a little time.
