Paying income tax as a homeowner?

Hi,

I live in Germany but I recently bought a holiday home in Portugal, which I'm now renting out on Airbnb - do I have to pay income tax on this, and if so - to the Portuguese government or the German one? Can't find any info...

Hey Richard,

You have to register your unit and pay for the taxes - it's better to consult an accountant.

Take a look at this website for more info: http://www.alesclarecimentos.pt/abc-do-alojamento-local/

(it's in portuguese but you can easily translate it with an online translator).
