Hi @Manuel161. What do you mean by "book with a friend's card"?

Michael

I tried to book using my account and a friend who was a staying with me's card.

Hi @Manuel161:

That is not allowed in AirBnB: You need to book with the preferences you adjusted in your profile, meaning YOUR credit card. It is not allowed to use a card which is not the one of the member, safety issue!

Michael

I can see how that would happen.

How is Airbnb to know the card belongs to your "friend" and you are using it with their full permission vs. using a credit card you stole from someone you don't in fact know or have permission to use?  All they can see is the person with the account is using a credit card with a different name and address.  I can see why they would cancel your account.

I presume because the name and other details on the card doesn't fit with that of the guest. And it was flagged as fraud - hence them cancelling the profile.
