City/town running listings

Hello Community,

  My question:  Can a city/town owns a Airbnb and having listings?

IMO it must be possible. But then the host probably will be some kind of property-manager, performing this task for the city/town. If multiple listings are offered, maybe a business account is needed (if  an organsation or company owns the accommodations)

Thanks for your comment, but I thought Airbnb was for individual or company only.  I have asked the question because the town where I live has removed my permit for running an Airbnb, but they have just started to run one!!!  So, my point is, while the town has authority to give permits, they play on our rights to earn money and, more over, they use my taxes to help them to make money…  This is a none sens…
