We had our first encounter with a guest who basically wanted to  rent the private room in our home for a few hours to have an afternoon rendezvous with his girlfriend.  We found this a little unsettling and awkward.  The booking was made at the last minute, and was an instant booking so there was no opportunity to inquire as to the purpose of the booking ahead of time.   Is this a frequent occurrence in the Airbnb community?  Are there any suggestions as to how to avoid such bookings in the future??

Not had one of these in three years, but then I don't accept same day bookings.
