Automatic booking confirmation?

Hi I am a new host and have received an email with a guests confirmation code and the table with the amount due to me and their booked dates. I have checked the calendar for my property and it is not booked out on the calendar for their dates, should I book it out manually or do you think there has been a glitch? I also cannot reply to the confirmed guest and they are not appearing as upcoming guest?

How can I stop automatic bookings?  I received a message stating congratulations !  ???? is booked with you for 2 nights.  How can I stop these automatic bookings.
