Airbnb Policy on issuing 1099-K

Hello,

How does Airbnb determine which hosts are issued a 1099-K?

I'm a US citizen and have filled out the W9 but other sites have a revenue and transaction cutoff but I can't find Airbnb's policy on determining if a host has had enough business to be issued a 1099-K.

Best regards,

Ted

Hi @Ted0, Don't know if any of the hosts here have an answer to that.  I think your best bet would be to ask Airbnb directly.  Here's how:

When I called airbnb they said they dont issue 1099-k unless you earn $20,00 and 200 rentals, that we have to file a 1099-K to airbnb  just like you would file to anyone earning over $600 but I think this is wrong. We dont file anything just declare the income. No 1099-K
