100% Refunding a guest when you have a strict cancellation policy

Hello!

i have a guest who wishes to cancel a booking for 3 nights in August . As we have a strict cancellation policy and he booked a few days ago he’s a bit put out to be only getting a  50% refund when we still have plenty of time to sell the room.... I’d like to refund him without changing our policy-

how do I do this without being penalized for canceling my end? Does he need to message. How do we go about getting him refunded totally?

If you do not want to enforce your cancellation policy, @Monica1081 , you can refund the guest up to the amount that gets paid to you only.  Any fees paid to Airbnb cannot be refunded.  

 

You need to have the guest cancel (he had 48 hours to cancel penalty free).  You will be given the option to refund more than the 50% provided to you by the cancellation policy.
