Payout incorrect amount

Someone instant booked my place and then said they had done it by mistake.  The booking was cancelled on the day of arrival (before check in).  I have a moderate cancellation policy which should have meant that no refund was issued.

 

I received a note from Airbnb that the guest had been refunded some of the stay costs and I was only getting a partial payout for the cancelled booking.

 

Does anyone know why as there really should not have been a refund to the guest?

Under the Moderate Cancellation Policy, if the guest cancels less than 5 days in advance, the first night is non-refundable but 50% of the remaining nights are refunded.  The cleaning fee (if applicable) is always refundable if the guest did not check in.
