Does AirBnB help with lost keys?

I had a guest who wanted my key since he was coming back late.  Ends up he woke me up as he left the key somewhere.   Took him 2 days to get the key back.   He was overall an aweful guest.

I'm not comfortable now, unless I change the locks.

Does Air BnB help with that?

You don't have a security deposit on your listing, so essentially, no.

If you take your deadbolt to a locksmith, they can generally re-key it in less than 10 minutes for under $10.  If you pay to have someone come out to your house, you're looking at about $100 more.

You could ask the guest to mail you the key or send money through the resolution center.

As he was an awful guest, you probably can't ask him $100 for a locksmith to come a rekey your door.

The amount would have to be a token  $10 - $20 for a replacement key.  Even then, he may not agree. But he might.

As a host, lost keys are a common occurence. Consider a code entry ( ~$100). It will simplify your life.

No missing key, so nothing to do.

Very not true David.

I have keys to a home that feels compremised.
