Smoking

When you have specific rule that prohibits smoking of any kind and it’s broken, what can you do? Just a bad review?

My guest sign a no smoking policy when they check in that states they know they will be charged $250.00 for deep cleaning of the unit if they smoke in the unit. The state forbids smoking in hotels/lodging facilities. I am a licensed Bed and Breakfast with the state- so it is against the law for them to smoke in my suites. We have only had to charge one person and the rest have abided by the rules. We been here for 15 years so I don't think that is a bad record. We do provide outside ashtrays with seating that they can use.

@Diana2347 I kind of can't believe you're asking this?? It's your property, and you make the rules.

If you know guests are smoking, you tell them to either obey your rules or leave. It's pretty simple.
